Classmates hold vigil for teen shot to death by father



“Laurin Edwards was, by far, one of the most out going, social human beings I had ever met,” said one classmate. “She had a ton of friends. She had a sorority of sisters that will greatly miss her and a ton of friends that she’s touched so much.”

Police said Edwards was shot and killed inside of her parents’ home Thursday morning by her father, James Edwards. Laurin’s mother and brother were also shot, and are fighting for their lives inside of a local hospital.

Investigators said James Edwards went room-to-room shooting his family members and dog, before shooting and killing himself.

Friends said Laurin was about to go back to college at St. Francis University before she was killed. Family members said she had just celebrated her 19th birthday and was attending school to be a physician’s assistant....

For the record, this James Edwards -- who shot hist family -- is an entirely different James Edwards from the one who shot the baseballer from Melbourne. The shootings were within hours of each other, and this one's rather fallen between the cracks in comparison.

grandson and his wife bought that house a couple of years ago. They are just a couple doors down from the Edwards' house. Very sad.

The father even shot the dog. He expected them all to die. Why, why? So sad
