BOSTON -- Seniors returning to classes at dozens of U.S. colleges and universities have one more hurdle to prepare for this school year: a new standardized test for graduating students intended to give prospective employers a measure of their abilities.
Called Collegiate Learning Assessment Plus (CLA+), the test aims to provide a more objective way to compare the intellectual achievements of graduates of different schools.

(56,582 posts)(Yes, I know it will be a multiple choice test, and people can coast through multiple choice tests without actually learning, but guess what! People can and do coast through essays, discussions, and practica without actually learning anything too. Any system has skaters.)

(56,582 posts)Some colleges are having students take it and, if they want, send it to jobs they're applying to. Sort of like the GRE, but for employers.

(21,115 posts)wait till you see what the interview for a job process is like now. I have actually competed for jobs by taking multiple IQ exams! 5 in fact in one day!
