http://grist.org/climate-energy/brilliant-proposal-name-hurricanes-after-obstructionist-lawmakers/by Jess Zimmerman,
Activist group 350 Action doesnt just stand up for the climate it stands up for innocent people named Andrew, Sandy, and Katrina. Why should those names be tarnished? Instead, we should be naming severe weather events after their biggest sponsors and fans: climate-change-denying lawmakers who obstruct environmental policy reform.

The results are pretty hilarious I especially like if you value your life, please seek shelter from Michele Bachmann. No doubt!
We dont see the associated petition going anywhere, but the video really brings home the direct relationship between destructive climate policy and destructive climate events. And it includes the line Senator David Vitter is turning out to be one of the hugest and costliest disasters in American history, which many have said before, but rarely with these production values.

HURRICANES SHOULD BE NAMED AFTER MICHELE BACHMANN AND MARCO RUBIO, SAYS 350 ACTION
http://creativity-online.com/work/350-action-climate-name-change/32442
Barton F. Graf 9000 has teamed with climate crisis activist organization 350 Action to propose an unconventional solution to addressing our environmental woes. The new campaign features this video directed by Furlined's Ted Pauly that poses a very interesting question to the World Meteorological Organization: Why are hurricanes--with all the havoc they wreak--given perfectly nice people names?
The effort suggests an alternative moniker system--one that, if embraced, would serve as a kick-in-the-pants for lawmakers to take action: Name them after the policy makers who deny climate change. Thus, says the video, future hurricanes would bear titles like Hurricane Marco Rubio, Hurricane Michelle Bachman or Hurricane Rick Perry. A website invites people to petition to the WMO to put such names in the future lineup.
The campaign represents a bit of branching out, stylistically, for Barton F. Graf 9000, which until now has been best known for its signature kooky comedic style, for the likes of Dish, Little Caesars and Kayak.

could be renamed Hurricane Boehner... or Hurricane McConnell... or Hurricane Ryan... or Hurricane Cruz... or Hurricane bu$h
There would certainly be a lot of competition for getting that top spot

As devastating as they are, hurricanes at least do play an important role in the ecosystem of the planet (more than I can say for the people listed above)

whose names would have to be included for destroying the environment, completely dismissing climate change or paying lip service to matters environment while they continue policies that do more damage rather than solve climate change problems.
