"Stupid, Offended Muslims": Good Idea for Title of a Book by Salman Rushdie?

I hope to demonstrate in this thread that these are two independent questions with independent answers.

That some title doesn't offend you is not a justification for coming to the conclusion that it's a good idea to use that title.

1. A good title if he wants lots of headlines and publicity.

A bad title if he wants to avoid being blown up or beheaded after another fatwa is issued on him.

It's much safer to insult Catholics, Methodists or Jews.

to do about not winning friends or influencing people but staying alive. I'm overweight I wouldn't slaughter someone for writing a book entitled Stupid Fat People.

The title does NOT assert that all Muslims are either stupid, offended, or both. It merely states that it is about this (widely recognized to exist) subgroup of them.
