Did Santuorum just end his political career This morning?

I wasn't able to play the clip until a few minutes ago. (I posted a thread about Santorum doesn't believe in an absolute seperation of church) I manage to hear it on this link.

Can anyone - ANYONE-actually take him as a serious candidate?

As Ed Koch said today, he's nuts. That makes him one of them, which can only help his chances.

I think he loses my home state of Michigan, though. It's not normally a state that goes heavily for nuts, although in a GOP primary, who knows?

it does not matter the base will lap it up.

Whom ever wins the Repuke Nomination will get a minimum of 43-48 million votes guaranteed.

Obama Derangement Syndrome is very strong this year.

Had he been that vocal when he was here in South Carolina, he very well may have beat out Newt.

Why do you think he got named after a mixture of shit and anal lube anyways? He's been a raving idiot in office for a long time, and he's not saying anything very far from what he's always said.

Shitting on JFK is probably going to make Dems, especially those who lived through his presidency and his assassination, angry. It will probably bring more support for President Obama from those same people. But others? It'll turn off moderates and independents who respect JFK's memory and what he stood for. It will probably rankle even some moderate Republicans. But the angry base? The ones who despise people like JFK and what he stood for, will be empowered further. Lots of RWers hated JFK.

He's seen the numbers, he knows it's a goddamn miracle that he has made it this far and due to a perfect storm of incompetence and lunacy he's got a shot at the nomination. But nobody that can read is telling him he can win. There's no upside for him to move to the center and to stop saying crazy things. His long term future lies in getting rich being a guy who says crazy things, not in being leader of the free world.

It's becoming abundantly clear why a lopsided majority of Pennsylvanians no longer wanted this freak representing them in the U.S. Senate. Santorum is now providing a larger national audience with even more reasons to steer clear of him, and doing so on a daily basis.

There is big money in being a political hotshot for the rightwing groups like the Tea Party and Fundamentalist Xtians. But being a failed senator who lost by 18 points his last election won't get you the big speaking fees or book deals.

Santorum is going to become plenty rich after this GOP primary is finished. He knows that being a politician will never get him rich but being a crazy republican candidate for president will rake in the big bucks.

I swear everytime he gets ahead in the polls he finds even crazier things to say. Proof he doesn't want to win this but unfortunately not too many candidates left in the GOP field and they are all whack
