Fox News Fired Chief Flack Has Lawyered UpWith Trumps Attorney
J.K. TROTTER
Ousted PR attack dog Brian Lewis has laid low in the month since Fox News president Roger Ailes ejected him from the channel after accusing Lewis of financial irregularities and multiple, material and significant breaches of his employment contract. He has spoken on the record just once to rebut Ailes biographer Gabriel Shermans account of Lewis calling Bill OReilly a chucklehead. Now hes lawyering up. According to a source familiar with his legal situation, Lewis has retained Manhattan entertainment lawyer Judd Bernstein, whose online client list includes Donald Trump, Oscar de la Hoya, Donny Deutsch, and the Backstreet Boys.
The still-quiet battle between Lewis and his former employer is likely to escalate, given the stakes Roger Ailes places on the channels (and his own) reputation, and the role Brian Lewis played in managing both. With Shermans book scheduled for early 2014, Lewis and Ailes probably feel pushed to make an example out of the other.
Neither Bernstein nor Lewis were available to comment for the record.

(26,080 posts)After all it only stands to reason that if someone high up with Fox News was involved in something unethical and or illegal that Murdoch would want to take steps to protect as much of his company as possible and by breaking it up like he has it protects alot of it from any blowback that might occur if Fox News was involved in something as bad if not worse than the wiretapping that went on in the UK.
