Moscow Times: "Did Kremlin Arrange Snowden's Trip to Russia?"

***Anatoly Kucherena is Snowden's attorney in Russia. He also oversees the FSB, shock is the successor to the KGB. As you all know, Vladimir Putin was KGB.***

"Kucherena has an interesting background. Two years ago, Putin picked Kucherena to serve on the Public Chamber, a pro-Kremlin government oversight body. Putin also chose Kucherena to serve on a board that oversees the FSB.

On the Snowden case, Kucherena's legal advice proved solid. On Aug. 1, Snowden was granted a year's temporary asylum in Russia. That day, he and Sarah Harrison, his WikiLeaks traveling companion, left the airport and have not been seen in public since.

Within hours after Snowden's departure, WikiLeaks issued a statement thanking the Russian government. Assange added: "This is another victory in the fight against Obama's war on whistleblowers. This battle has been won, but the war continues."

Several days before Snowden arrived in Moscow, the South China Morning Post published an interview that had taken place earlier in Hong Kong. In the interview, Snowden said he joined Booz Allen Hamilton, the contractor with the National Security Agency, with the sole purpose of using his security clearance to steal the U.S. government's cyber spying secrets.

Now that Snowden and his four NSA laptop computers are in the safekeeping of the Kremlin, one question begs an answer: When exactly did the Kremlin enter Snowden's life?"

*Bolding is mine and that question has been my question from the beginning.

Really what does it matter when the Russians jumped in? It doesnt change what the NSA is doing. It doesnt change that OUR government lied to us about whether they are spying on us.

No matter what Snowden's intentions were, it doesnt change the fact our government was violating the 4th amendment.

Yes, to be sure, there are shennanigans at NSA. That does not justify exposing the entire electronic intelligence capabilities of the U.S. to an adversary.

Read the article. You do know there are daily flights from Hawaii to South America, right? He never intended to go anywhere but Russia because he's a Russian spy. What does he have to do, tattoo it on his forehead?

theft of documents, etc., and so charging him with those in court is not persecution of him for political opinion. The Russians have no reason to stretch the definition of persecution until it is meaningless and makes it look like they are a haven for any criminal - unless they knew they were getting something in return.

Putin LOVES this. Using our own freedom of the press to expose our secrets and bring down NSA? that's priceless to him. To use fake liberals to do it? He's laughing all the way to war.

It's been nagging at me. The simplest answer is usually the right one. He is where he wants to be. All the other crap was a distraction.

Get your spies to release some nuggets to the media in the name of "whistle blowing" and take the bulk of your haul back to your masters, all the while hollering about how persecuted you are.

Putin loves that. And it does one more thing. If the transfer is done on the internet there's no chance of human beings getting caught at a drop.

Furthermore, some information can be published that only the recipient will know to look for. It's useless to anybody else. Conversely, if everything about a program is published then the entire program is rendered useless. You've just destroyed the enemy's hard work and wasted possibly billions of their dollars. But only after they've already spent them.
