Could Syria be blowback from Iraq?

Tin foil hats off, please. No less an authority than Will Pitt just reminded me that Syria took in hundreds of thousands of refugees from Eye-rack, and gave them generous benefits. Then the numbers got so big that they had to curtail the benefits. That helped to destabilize the regime.

That thud you just heard was another large chunk of our moral authority for an attack smashing to the ground.

This definitely is blowback from the invasion of Iraq and the removal of Saddam from power. What we are seeing now is why Poppy Bush decided to stop at the Iraq-Kuwait border in 1991.
