Whether advisable or insane, right or wrong - and to what extent will the military campaign go and what will be the short term and long term outcome? - Those are all quite speculative - But does anyone think that it is not going to happen and happen soon?

(75,480 posts)in the business of deposing regimes no matter how bad they are. We should offer humanitarian aid and asylum for innocent refugees. That might take some military to defend the defenseless, but I'm of the opinion that if either side lays down their weapons then we should help them. I'm also of the opinion that we be part of a peace keeping coalition like the UN or NATO. We shouldn't attempt this alone.

(75,480 posts)Free Speech TV, they interviewed a retired military pundit who said that the question is not if we will go into Syria but when. I hope he's wrong.

Seriously, I wonder how many people we're going to kill that had absolutely nothing to do with the chemical stuff.
