More BS from the WSJ

Did you see the front page of the Wall Street Journal today? Below the fold, that is.

"Powered by Outrage at the IRS, The Tea Party Makes a Comeback." (I can't provide a link)

This is so fucking typical. The initial story, that the IRS was targeting conservative groups, was decried from coast to coast, from Jon Stewart to Barack Obama to FOX NEWS. I'm convinced the Bush-appointed IRS head "apologized" to conservative groups on purpose, just to stir up a shitstorm, which it did.

When the story developed and it became obvious that liberal groups were targeted just as much, if not more than, conservative groups, how many of you want to bet that the corrections and retractions were likewise bellowed coast to coast? Right. They bury the correction on page 17, if at all.

Meanwhile, conservative groups are acting like there was no follow-up, and it was all directed at conservative groups.

Then you get this crap on the front page of the WSJ. Buried deep in the middle of a long story, they admitted that liberal groups were flagged as much as conservative groups.

Left out entirely is the fact that these groups never should have even sought tax-exempt status in the first place. There is absolutely no "social welfare" compenent to what they do. It's all political, but the IRS has been letting churches politic, has been letting all sorts of groups get tax-exempt status, and this is the result. This crap is really frustrating.
