That was a fine, realistic, complex speech. I hope people don't let the general malaise keep them from appreciating it.

John Lewis got me as well.

It would have been nice to have a thread on all the speakers, leading up to the Pres. But there's too much weighing down GD right now.

There was a time where we would have had to start 3 different threads, not so much anymore.

I was hoping for one day we could have enjoyed the remembrance.

We will never be totally free of hate, intolerance and irrational violence. But my hope is that the slow trend toward love and tolerance will continue. I know it's very, very hard to see at times.
