Kim Jong-Un's Ex-Girlfriend Reportedly Executed By Firing Squad

North Korean singer Hyon Song-wol, known as the ex-girlfriend of the reclusive state's leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly been executed by a firing squad, major South Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo reports.

Hyon and others were reportedly arrested on Aug. 17 for violating laws against pornography and publicly executed on the 20th.

Thu Aug 29, 2013, 10:14 AM
Aug 2013

Their lives are ruled by fear and adoration through generations of brainwashing. They are also probably not physically able to rise up, the calorie allotment for people is very low. They have no weapons, organization is impossible due to threat of death if you talk to the wrong person.

It's a very sad situation.

Just as and example: There is a documentary about a doctor who went there to perform free cataract surgery, he did like a thousand surgeries in just like a week or so. At the end when the room full of patients finally took off their bandages, they did not that the doctor. Instead, they went up to the picture of their dear leader and bowed and thanked HIM, over and over, while in tears, for curing them.

You can be arrested for folding a page of a newspaper that has a picture of the dear leader on it.

It is a very bizarre environment for any human to live in and is really the biggest cult in the world.

Iran can do what they need to do for themselves if we actually left them alone and treated them as an equal for awhile (I think that's all they really want anyway) but without Foreign Intervention, I think North Korea will be fucked until at least after the Zombie Apocolypse. lol

Actually, when you think about it, NK would be a good testing ground for pacifism in action. How do you "intervene" on behalf of the people, without making the people the primary victims of your intervention?

I suspect step 1 would be food, and lots of it.
Step 2 probably involves knowledge in some form.

Unless we do somethings sneaky like drop food and medicine in rural areas and prison farms/camps. But it could not be seen as coming from us because the people there are conditioned to think the US are monsters.

The government wants the people underfed to control them. In fact one sad side effect is how small the recent generations of children are in comparison with their counterparts in SK. lack of nutrition has stunted their growth.

Thu Aug 29, 2013, 12:43 PM

I also suspect it is part of the larger solution. The food doesn't have to be known to coming from the US. Leveraging the China connection would probably be part of the process. I actually suspect that China would be interested in seeing NK change somewhat, although not necessarily in the same ways that the US government would be interested.

In the end, getting food in there is going to have to be part of the process. And it might have to be done without the cooperation or knowledge of the NK government.

I've lived in both South Korea and China. The Chinese believe that at least part of North Korea is their land. Secondly, they don't want to share a land boarder with a united Korea because of us having troops here. That's why they continue to prop up the Kim's brutal regime.

Thu Aug 29, 2013, 07:44 PM
Aug 2013

Henry VIII had six wives only two of which were executed... Anne Boleyn beheaded on trumped up charges, Catherine Howard on actual charges. His first wife, Katherine of Aragon, he divorced claiming she was never legally married to him to begin with so that he could marry Anne Boleyn. Less than 24 hours after Anne Boleyn's execution he married wife No. 3, Jane Seymour. Jane died after giving birth to Edward VI (Henry's first and only son to survive infancy). He then married Anne of Cleves though he was pissed off that she looked nothing like he was told and thought she was ugly and smelled bad though the people loved her. He divorced her using the excuse that she was previously betrothed (she outlived him and all the other wives). Following the execution of his 5th wife, Catherine Howard, his sixth and final wife was Katherine Parr who outlived him and upon his death almost immediately married Thomas Seymour, brother to Jane Seymour. She died after childbirth having become pregnant for the first time in her life at an older age with Seymour and likely from the same illness as Jane which was all too common in those days since they had no understanding of cleanliness when treating a patient. Woman commonly died in childbirth back then or soon after from what was likely puerperal fever, an acute form of septicemia.

Yet Henry prized her the most and insisted on being buried beside her (which he was). She was so uneducated she could barely even write her own name (just her first name... the whole thing would have been beyond her). Kind of odd seeing as Henry prized both beauty and intelligence neither or which she had (at ALL).

Rather a shame that such a pretty actress got stuck with that wife's name... I suppose it's better than getting stuck with the name Catherine Howard though seeing as she was a young selfish greedy ninny that actually did commit treason in sneaking about boinking a hotty at court. I'd actually forgotten all about the actress Jane Seymour. I did always rather like her though. I can't think of anything she's been in since the '80's.
