REPORT: America Is 'Livid' With The British And Could Launch Syria Strikes On Its Own

Barack Obama could take military action against Syria without waiting for British support, senior Obama administration officials said, as David Cameron faced waiting until next week for a Commons vote sanctioning any air strikes.

The abrupt halt in British momentum towards military action left the diplomatic choreography in chaos and US officials "livid" with the British, according to Western diplomatic sources at the United Nations in New York.

...

Mr Obama, who spoke with some senior members of the US congress on the Syria debate, is due to leave for Sweden next Tuesday, followed by the G20 summit in Russia on Thursday and Friday, potentially narrowing the timetable for action.

Analysts said the Mr Obama was highly unlikely to unleash the targeted missile strikes while alongside the Russian President Vladimir Putin, forcing a choice of acting either before next Tuesday or after the G20 summit closes next weekend.

"Why would you launch when Putin is sitting there? You either go before the trip to Russia or after and my guess is before," said Barry Pavel, a former White House defence official, adding the US could launch attacks over the weekend once UN inspectors have left Damascus.

lads and lassies were still in high school. The U.S. had to stop the deadly scourge of the spread of godless communism, any and every where on the face of earth, else the dominoes might fall. The U.S. also had dispose a veritable plethora of left-leaning regimes all the while supporting the likes of Batista. With the break-up of the USSR in 1989 and no major threat of its supremacy on the horizon, a new bogey-man had to be found so the MIC could continue to be gorged, and lo and behold, the U.S. failed to thwart a multi-staged terraist attack on 'Murikan soil in spite of intelligence streaming in from throughout the world advising of an impending terraist attack. Hence, a perpetual war on terra was commenced wherein terraists would be ferreted out and blasted to kingdom-come where ever on the face of the earth they might be. The war hardon has not diminished an iota imo, it fact the Bush-Cheney hardon for war seems to this lad to be undiminished.

That reminds me of the assumption that the USSR would participate in the 1984 Olympics in the US after the US led boycott of the Moscow Olympics in 1980.
I won a good bet in 1984.

In case no one's been paying attention, Obama does not do 'livid'. Some advisers or factions may do that but I hardly think that equates to America being livid.

Brits have been beating their media meat for two years on this one. Now they've finally gotten BHO on board. Wouldn't it be oh so convenient if, surprise, Cameron's hands are tied at the last minute and they leave the dirty work to us? Operation Ajax (deposing democratically elected Iranian PM Mosaddeq for MI6 by CIA in 1953) all over again.

Our 'offical' 'lanaguage' will be 'American', instead of English.

Bowlers will have to put a little 'American' on the ball to avoid gutters.

Orchestral woodwind players will have to learn to play the 'American' horn.

All dog breeds with 'English' in their names will switch to being called 'American', unless of course, there is already an American-style breed; in which case, these will now be known as 'Real American', or even 'American American'.

English muffins will now be known as 'American' muffins.

English Breakfast tea will now be 'American Breakfast'.

Just you watch...
