(7,309 posts)My girlfriend and I were screaming at him, Fugelsang tore into with biblical verses. Fuckstain tried to quote Leviticus when saying Jesus was pro death penalty. Fugelsang busted him on it.
Great stuff, yo.

(10,942 posts)care from poor people. He was a phony prophet. He talked about the devil, he look within. I am glad John Fugelsang laid wood to his ass.

(17,158 posts)They see "Affordable Health Care" and they read "abortion." That's it. That's the only argument they're capable of using, and even THAT won't fly when held up against the Executive Order that upheld the provisions of the amendment (sorry, can't remember the name) that prohibits federal funding for abortion services.
On Edit: It's the "Hyde Amendment"...

(75,480 posts)people." They are really referring to abortions. Never mind that people die every year who didn't have to because they couldn't afford the health care they needed because they had no access to it.

(2,345 posts)It was priceless. The Chaplain was dumbstruck and could not answer without rotating back to his talking point. I especially like the moment when he was sitting there with a pained look on his face with nothing to say.
I myself like to throw in some other greatest bible quotes:
I keep them bookmarked here: http://whateverworks4you.blogspot.com/2012/03/ryan-budget-plan.html
Mark 10:21-22 Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, "You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." When he heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions.
Luke 14:12-14 He said also to the one who had invited him, "When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, in case they may invite you in return, and you would be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."
Luke 16:19-25 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man's table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores. The poor man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried.
In Hades, where he was being tormented, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. He called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.' But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in agony.
Proverbs 21:13 "If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered."
Matthew 25:41-45 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least among you, you did not do for me.'"
