Peace
I believe in peace except for in the most serious and life threatening situations, and only when all other options have been exhausted.
I do not believe in war to salvage anyone or any country's credibility. That would be one of the last reasons I would even consider.
Peaceful methods may be difficult, time consuming, and even politically risky. But until there is absolutely NO recourse, peace is always preferable.
