Sarah Palin ""So we’re bombing Syria because Syria is bombing Syria? And I’m the idiot?”

i believe the below is a right wing source. it claims Obama did nothing the first time news of chemical weapons came out. it was because we did not have proof where it came from . and then it claims that Obama is only doing something because of public and congressional outcry over what happened. when that is clearly not the case.

"So we’re bombing Syria because Syria is bombing Syria? And I’m the idiot?” So, said Sarah Palin Friday evening.

Her sharply sarcastic statement (scroll down for full text), posted on her Facebook page as usual, followed President Obama's latest global update on his unusually long deliberations over what he describes as a minor reaction to Syria's use of chemical weapons against Syrians. Fifty-three weeks ago Obama drew a red line in the sand, saying:

"We have been very clear to the Assad regime but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is; we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized. That would change my calculus; that would change my equation.”

It would fit nicely on a bumper sticker, too.

Over-simplification is her, and the GOP's, strong suit.

Assad loyalists and government troops bombing rebel
forces -- also known as Syrian civilians -- is not an issue?
Sarah, don't you remember? Like the kinda thing that guy,
Sadam Hoosain, did over there in Irack that got yours and
the neocon knickers all bunched up in knots ? Huh ?

You betcha !

the republicans will give him hell regardless. The best thing Obama can do now is to let the DO NOTHING congress vote on it, that way they'll own it!!!

"We have been very clear to the Assad regime but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is; we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized. That would change my calculus; that would change my equation.”

...and its being used as an argument that he said he'd bomb the hell out of them if they crossed this line. Then that is taken out of context. He clearly states that it would change how he looks at the whole problem, not that he will start dropping bombs or put boots on the ground.

Seems to me this all is another false flag get all beside ourselves hate on the man in the oval office.
I may be wrong but I don't see as how I am just yet.

...so why are small, limited strikes being discussed? I don't think that anyone is saying that he said that he would bomb the hell out of them. What does "change my calculus" mean anyway. Yes I know what it means, but what does it really mean? That statement is very vague. One should not be vague in matter like this; it could bring on a whole lot of trouble.

We're bombing Syria because they violated an "international norm". We're calling it an "international norm" because Syria didn't actually sign the treaties which would make using Sarin against their citizens illegal, so what they did wasn't actually illegal. Also, we're praying to our God, the military industry, (Peace be upon Lockheed) that nobody notices that lots of nations signed a treaty which banned use of cluster bombs, which we still think are dreamy weapons, but would seemingly mean that using cluster bombs violates international norms. We're further praying that nobody follows this to the logical conclusion that America is violating international norms and that Syria would, under our own logic, have the moral authority to bomb the U.S.
