Dear Mr. President. Whatever you decided to do, please do not make your action my name....

or anyone else know. Many of my friends and I have discussed the current situation is Syria. No matter bad had things are for those poor people, It is not our job to interfere. Nobody supports it.

The last fiasco (IraQ) didn't work, this will be far worse.
Our children and theirs will be paying in lives and treasure for as long as we keep up this warmongering.

I'm an old timer, seen wars since WW11, I'm sick of it. We americans need the dollars you are wasting to be spent at home.

I will not be around long enough to see world peace but I can dream, cant I ?

NO MORE WARS!

I am so tired of people stating "no more wars" as without this strike, there would be no war.

I oppose this war. I have a very hard time figuring out what it would accomplish, so why do something, but at least, I wished people recognize there is a war in Syria at this point. There are wars in plenty of places. We dont want to be involved. I dont either. There are plenty of good reasons for that.

But please, do not say "no more wars" as if the US intervening or not would do any difference. If it did, I would support intervention.

And please specify how they are going to save millions in terms exacting enough to be appropriate to the subject matter. If you can, of course. Your expected silence will indicate you have no details but plenty of hyperbole.

I really trust my president.

He'll get it right.

And the real shitty thing.. I've seen more negative comments about Obama here than negative comments about Assad .

What you think of others on DU and what you think you see has zip to do with your previous assertion, when challenged you just lash out. Because you can not defend nor define your own wild claims.

Guess that doesn't matter, well, certainly not to those who will profit from and won't share in the sacrifice, it doesn't.

Notice how jessie04 tried to equate "Patriot" with being Pro-WAR.
I'm a PATRIOT.
I LOVE America.
I LOVE The Democratic Party,
......and I strongly OPPOSE US Intervention in another ME Civil War,
ESPECIALLY when we can't afford Meals-On-Wheels or Head Start.

YOU want this WAR,
then YOU Pay for It,
and YOU put YOUR body On-the-Line.

You can take your "patriot" bullshit and stick it in a dark, stinky place.
AFIC, the MOST Patriotic thing somebody could want would be for the US Military stay HOME, and the $MONEY$ used to help $AMERICANS$.
THAT is REAL "Patriotism".

I read 'patriots' as referring to missiles.
Either way, I still do not agree with him.

don't get me wrong, its way over used and in the instance the picture is showing it was clearly excessive force...

but don't kid yourself, they aren't the same types of chemicals.

go throw some sarin gass in your face and see how you feel afterwards... youll feel dead, cause that's what youll be.

And destroy the Democratic party's chances in 2014 & 2016. Any President who wants a war based on a transparently phony, concocted excuse deserves posterity's scorn.

Most of our Washington politicians vote for whatever helps their own financial interests -- whether we approve or not. The military-corporate machine wants war & they really don't care how we feel about it.

It will be done in all our names. If our country is ever attacked out of retaliation for all the innocent lives lost or shattered by our military, they won't know or care about who did not approve of the aggression before it began.

If a leader of another sovereign country is "gassing his own people", the decision to bomb/murder more innocent people to make a point makes no sense. The better choice in removing another leader is to use a commando-type operation.
