No support. None.
They're trying to change the national conversation
Who gives a shit if Congress should or shouldn't authorize an illegal bombing on a sovereign nation?
The answer is always no!

(18,402 posts)A few-day surgical attack with no boots on the ground, and no occupation, can hardly be equated with a move to empire.
How about adding this slogan to the stockpile as well: no support for tyrannical regimes in the mideast. That is what the US has been doing for decades and decades: supporting dictators because it's been in our best interest: they keep the riff-raff down and the oil flowing. That is acting as chumps for empire.
There are no good answers here, but tired slogans are the least useful response.

(36,214 posts)I do not support criminal wars of aggression, whether on the ground or anywhere else, for any reason. Absent a direct and imminent threat to the U.S., our own signature on the U.N. Charter forbids us from unprovoked attacks against other nations. One of our greatest chief justices once defined exactly what we did in Iraq and are talking about doing in Syria-- attacking another country that is not a threat-- as the greatest crime of all, the crime that contains all others.
It's disingenuous in the extreme to equate that with support for tyrants. I'll do a happy dance if Assad is deposed, and I'll be even happier if he is brought to justice at The Hague. But we are not the worlds' cops, and we MUST NOT use our military to enforce foreign policy interests against nations that do not credibly threaten us.

(39,909 posts)...is an Act of WAR,
and under several International Treaties,
it is an Act of "Aggressive WAR",
which is also a WAR CRIME.
Please do NOT try to minimize or discount the seriousness of an attack on Syria. This is NOT some little "surgical" thing that doesn't really count.
This is WAR.

How are you going to pay for this?
I replied to the wrong post but hey, if you're not offended by my mistake, I'll leave the comment.
As far as your post. I agree. This is an excuse for more war.
