Voting "yes" would further press him to take a decision that could politically destroy him. I hope and will definitely be contacting my representatives to urge "no" votes.

it does come easy to them, and they'll think that if he gets no approval, he'll go forward anyway.

They'll then draw up impeachment plans--yada, yada, yada--and the show it never ends.

...like cap and trade, the individual mandate, and so on, until Obama supported them.

At least 1/3 of the Democrats will vote no. A similar number of Republicans will as well out of knee jerk Obama hatred.

No war.

That saddens me.

What's worse is that I feel they beat like that simply because President Obama seems to be so set on it and for some his word is from On High.

Like wanting to do everything they can to kneecap Obama.

To them, that is paramount.

You should know that.

So first the President is FOR attacking Syria and all the Pubs are against it, now the President has decided to actually follow the Constitution and have Congress make the decision giving him political cover. But everyone knows once this President is FOR something THEY have to be 100% against it otherwise they give the black dude a political win, and we know they can’t be a part of that.

So what we have is the Liberal and Progressives will be against the war, the TeaHadists will be against the war just because President Obama wants it and the rest of the Republicans and some Democrats will have to vote for war because their backers in the MIC are expecting them to do what they are paying them to do.

What will the orange man do now give Obama a political victory and have the people pissed off at the GOP for going to war or not let the President go into Syria REALLY pissing off the MIC and risk losing the money the MIC generously provides them for going to war?

Now the GOTeaHadists COULD sell the war as the USA is going to get some payback because the Mooslums Evil Dewers are killing good god fearing Christians, but the Christians being killed are not white so that will be a tough sell to the base.

Unless Congress is given a binary choice in go to war or not go to war then Congress will look for a way to attack Syria, with lots of expensive toys that will need to be replaced, and in a way that will make things worse for the President and America so they can blame the black guy for the mess.
