What the Hell is up with MSNBC?

I swear, they must've called or insinuated that the President was weak for seeking congressional approval about 10 times in the last hour. Col. Jacobs has been all over him, saying cabinet members should resign and other such nonsense. I swear I had to check the channel to make sure I wasn't listening to FOX. Jacobs kept saying this makes our military look weak. Wtf? I'd love to see the tortured logic he was following to come to that conclusion.

Republicans were foaming at the mouth for Obama to authorize strikes without congressional approval. They were going to use that to impeach him. Now that they have to put their name on a strike they're pissed.

Col. Jacobs needs to shut up and let the Commander in Chief do his job. There is a reason our military is under civilian leadership.

Col. Jacobs is retired, and now a military analyst for MSNBC. He has every right to express his views.

He is also a Medal of Honor recipient.

People tune into bombs being dropped.

So the possibility it might not happen irks the executives over at msnbc.

They can put out their cute little "documentaries" in retrospect, but MSNBC pushed HARD for the Iraq war.

MSNBC at the time decided to go full-on pro-war as a ratings strategy, and so it canceled a show by liberal peacenik Phil Donahue and hired a bunch of pro-war conservatives, including a former congressman named Joe Scarborough.

Coverage is much better on Al Jazeera with David Schuster and Mike Vequira in spite of the fact that Qatar is backing the rebels.

or they were trying to milk the ratings.

Not sure how this could make our military look weak, given I'm 1/2 of a dual military couple I must say we are totally ok with this & have no desire to get involved in anymore wars.

Without going to Congress, now he is weak for not sending strikes without going to Congress. The bottom line members of Congress do not want to record their vote on the Syrian issue. If things does not go well they can still blame Obama.

and they are popular because of it.....

Half the time, I turn msnbc off and go to CNN. They're not for war or peace and show views of both sides....

I'm just starting to reappreciate them. I loved them when Ted Turner was in charge. Anderson Cooper could do msnbc without any mental reservatons easier than some of its hosts.

And since Erin O'Brien started having Stephanie Miller on regularly, it seems, I like Erin a lot better.

and there are people that believe in a strong legislature. Personally, I lean toward a strong legislature.

The Executive has held incredible power since the passage of the War Powers Act. In effect, Obama is surrendering some of that power back to the legislature. Indeed, that is exactly what the founders intended.

In my opinion, those that lean toward the strong executive model are more authoritarian than the legislative model. One leans more to the democratic side and one leans more to the conservative side. But that is just my opinion...

and the oil changed on the Tahoe and someone had left the TV tuned to MSNBC. I suppose they had been watching the President's address.

Anyway I heard some of what was being said, especially that Jacobs clown, and was just sickened by it. Fortunately they have the same cable box as we have at home and I was able to switch the channel and lock it out with an app on my Samsung S4. Nobody could figure out what happened because I just looked like I was pecking away on my smartphone. I may have even heard a few murmured cheers.

I'll bet they password or pin that box from now on.
