If we are stupid enough to attack, the GOP will demand we pay for the weapons used out of domestic programs. After all it is a national security threat. They may support Obama but everyone here will pay to protect the same elements in Syria that would attack us. It is a choice between Assad and the Islamic theocrats and terrorists who want a religious state like Iran.

Maybe would should let them kill each other off.

Involvement in Syria will not end in six weeks and the OIL will not pay for it.
The cost of this war will be just one more justification for republicans to shred the safety net.
