CBS Goes full tabloid: Russia Warns Of Nuclear Disaster If Syria Is Attacked

There is no mainstream media anymore... just shades of tabloid.

Russia Warns Of Nuclear Disaster If Syria Is Attacked

The story is that if the US bombed a nuclear reactor within Syria it would lead to leakage of radioactive materials. This would, of course, apply to bombing almost any nuclear facility, anywhere, and is an observation that could be made by anyone.

“If a warhead, by design or by chance, were to hit the Miniature Neutron Source Reactor (MSNR) near Damascus, the consequences could be catastrophic,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Aleksandr Lukashevich stated, according to Russia Today.

I think this is an excellent example of a headline designed to get you to click on the story, rather than to convey the substantial meaning or import of the story.
