I was told recently by a knob-headed cheerleader that, and I am paraphrasing,


Americans are selfish, unquestionably self-centered, and too self absorbed to do anything that does not benefit themselves."

Perhaps they were talking about the 1% but failed to add that qualifier, but other than that most Americans I know have been sacrificing a lot for years now.

Maybe above said cheerleader has benefited from others sacrificing for her but was fortunate enough to have never had to giver up much herself.

Here's a song that comes to mind when anyone mentions cheerleaders.
