Democrats hit Speaker Ramsey over Obama tweet - tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - State Democrats are criticizing Republican Senate Speaker Ron Ramsey over a Twitter post that said President Barack Obama was trying to become an ally with al-Qaida in Syria.

Ramsey, a Blountville auctioneer, said in the tweet that "we must always remember who attacked us on our soil 12 years ago."

State Democratic Party Chairman Roy Herron called on Ramsey to fire whoever wrote the tweet, noting that Republicans U.S. Sen. Bob Corker and House Speaker John Boehner agreed with the president's call for a limited strike on Syria because of a chemical weapons attack. The president has since decided to pursue a diplomatic solution.

Opponents to the intervention have noted Syrian rebel elements include al-Qaida-affiliated militants.

Domestic politics in the United States has always been heated. It once got so hot that an extremely bloody civil war erupted. Today all that is left to the hateful spiteful purveyors of vile accusations are deeds that match their rhetoric.

Has anyone noticed that organized gun nuts are still buying ammunition at unbelievable rates? I doubt that observation is real common on DU. To obtain 22 ammunition you have to go to a gun store who resells Wal Mart ammo at twice to three times the price. When you go in I will guarantee you will encounter similar vile accusations against either Democrats or Barack Obama. Do they really mean what they say by word of mouth and long for the day to settle scores? Right now this appears to be a convoluted sales gimmick but I do wonder.
