Putin took to the NY Times today to make the case against a US airstrike in Syria. His most profound argument being that there is no clear proof that rebel forces initiated that horrific chemical weapons attack specifically to draw the US military into the fight; which has been a long-stated rebel goal.
In the piece, Putin denied that the Syrian regime used chemical weapons against civilians, instead blaming the rebels, and criticized Obama’s recent address to the nation as “extremely dangerous.”
“I carefully studied [Obama’s] address to the nation on Tuesday. And I would rather disagree with a case he made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States’ policy is ‘what makes America different. It’s what makes us exceptional.’ It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation,” Putin wrote.
Putin also lambasted the U.S. as an aggressor with a negative international reputation. “Millions around the world increasingly see America not as a model of democracy but as relying solely on brute force, cobbling coalitions together under the slogan ‘you’re either with us or against us,’” Putin wrote in the op-ed, referencing Iraq and Afghanistan and urging a “return to the path of civilized diplomatic and political settlement.”
Where are we now, Truthseekers, in the bomb-again, off-again political rollercoaster? Will Putin’s words be heeded or decried? Will it be an attempt to save face and back down from plans to attack yet another sovereign nation who has taken no action against us? or will we forge ahead anyway.

As we’ve blown past our initial goal we’ve had to take a step back and figure out what new goals we wanted to set to bring you the best possible Malloy experience! And we want to do something to thank you in a significant way for making Malloy Video such a success!
Today we’re announcing our new stretch goals. These will provide a more professionally produced video product so you don’t miss a minute of the on – and -off – camera goings on in the Malloy bunker studio. And we’ll also be able to make Kathy a true on-air presence in the show so you don’t miss a minute of their witty banter. Thanks to your support, we will be able to provide a much more entertaining, interactive Malloy Video experience than we first imagined!
But first we want say thank you for helping us reach a few of our stretch goals even before had a chance to talk about them!
We were touched by how many of you told us you wished you could own a copy of our lovely daughter Molly’s picture and so with Molly’s permission we’re going to give a copy to everyone. That’s right, in celebration of passing the $48,000 level we’re going to send everyone at the Bootleg of Truth Level and above a postcard of Molly’s picture along with a printed version of Molly’s thank you note.
But that’s not the only milestone we’ve passed in this campaign. We have, or we’re just about to have, officially doubled the goal we originally set for the campaign. And to thank all of you for that we decided to give you all a little bit more of what you came here for... that’s right, more Mike Malloy Video! We’re going to add an additional 5 episodes to Season 1 Of the Mike Malloy Video Series!
Which brings us to our next big technology goal. Right now the new studio will feature one professional quality camera which will be focused on Mike as he does the show. But if we can reach this next goal of $60,000 we’re going to be able to triple the number of cameras in the new studio. This means multiple angles of Mike but it also means something even more exciting. It means that we’ll be able to have a camera just for Kathy. If we can reach this goal Kathy won’t just be the behind the scenes as master of the mixing board (and kitchen mixer) anymore, she’ll also be on camera! We’re calling this the Kathy Closeup Level and we believe that if we all come together to support and promote this campaign that we’ll be able to make Kathy a true video star! She won’t just be known for her culinary prowess in the kitchen any longer!
