Lump Day ?
http://www.mikemalloy.com/2012/02/lump-day/
Might be what to call a combo Leap Day + Hump Day. The GOP candidates sure took their lumps last night. A shallow victory for Mittens and a surprising defeat for Jesus of Pennsylvania. Ricky is finding that mainstream Republicans care more about the economy than government control over the naughty bits between their legs.
He certainly didnt win any fellow Catholics with the comment he made about JFK to NBC News:
The idea that the church can have no influence or no involvement in the operation of the state is absolutely antithetical to the objectives and vision of our country, he told ABC News.To say that people of faith have no role in the public square? You bet that makes me want to throw up.
While there were certainly some very important things and good things [JFK\] said in that, there were some things that triggered in my opinion the privatization of faith and I think thats a bad thing.
The ex-Senator continued, I think we need to have a free exercise of religion in this country and its important for those First Amendment freedoms to be alive and well in America and I think they are threatened here in America as weve seen by President Obama, not by Rick Santorum.
Ricky wants to preserve our freedoms . . . by abolishing privacy rights, perhaps? And JFK made him puke? Do we really want to hear about what makes a candidate vomit in any context, much less when it concerns one of the most revered (especially by Catholics) Presidents of all time, assassinated or not? Keep opening your mouth and inserting the crucifix, Ricky, youll Rapture on outta here in no time.
And Mittens narrow victory in Michigan proves his hard line let em go bankrupt stance toward the faltering state is not winning him any friends. President Obamas pro-labor, rebuild America message and strong support in the rust belt is playing much better.
Not that it really matters. This silly primary season is turning into a contest to be the man who will lose to Obama. Nuttin to see here, its safe to return to your normal, everyday activities.
In addition to Lump Day, its Church Night on the Malloy Show! Grab the sacred text of your choice and your holy water and join Mike LIVE at 9PM ET around the ritual campfire, and thanks for helping keep it lit as we enter our THIRD YEAR as independent broadcasters! Your support cannot be misunderestimated, as Dim Son wouldve said, and we appreciate you so much!

(16,529 posts)A busy month as there are 4 birthdays here, and that's done, and a bit of extreme sadness for another familyhttp://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x9842990
Hoping that everyone is well! We've been under tornado watches/warnings this evening, and RIP to those in Branson, MO, Harrisburg, IL, who didn't survive the nasty weather.
I know, I'm just little Ms. Sunshine, lol!

29 is way too young to die, and from complications from childbirth...REALLY...I know that it happens, and my Mom and my Dad were worried sick about me at times, along with my in-laws, but dayuum...I can't imagine having a preemie to care for alone, nor can I imagine how bittersweet it will be for **** to bring little *** home from the hospital..
Hoping that your sister is still doing well.

So am I, sorry for her loss, what her husband is going through, her parents, his parents...it breaks my heart. He clung to me when I hugged him, and when the mr. went to tell him that we were leaving, he was shaking...
I've made a list that I'll be purchasing for him, when our first was pre-term we were making plans to get the cradle and the changing table first, followed by the crib and a chest of drawers. I do remember when a baby shower was given for us, my Mom had my back, as she stated many times when people who were trying to make a fuss about my not being there, "My daughter appreciates you're being here, and please understand that while she'd like to be here, she can't, because that little boy, my grandson needs his mother, and she made her choice to be with her son."
The only baby shower that I had I didn't get to enjoy as I was with my son in the NICU. No, I did have another one that I couldn't wait to get away from, as I wanted to be with my son. At the time my Mom lived closer to the hospital, and the mr. and I were sleeping on her fold out couch.
