It was an Oscar moment.

Democrat Bob Kerrey and his wife, Sarah, were on the couch Sunday, watching the Academy Awards, when she resurrected a U.S. Senate bid.

Kerrey, 68, had dashed Democratic Party hopes in early February when he bowed out of the race, citing family concerns. Sources say Paley was lukewarm to the idea of a political comeback for Kerrey, concerned that he would never be home.

But on Sunday, she cracked open the door.
