I remember what Breitbart said about Ted Kennedy after he died...

so, I won't be crying any tears for Breitbart. While I don't rejoice in his death (sad to die so young and with a family), but in many ways he was one of the reasons why the political discourse in this country is so bad and the GOP has become increasingly hateful:

Early this morning, news broke that Sen. Ted Kennedy had passed away after serving in the U.S. Senate for nearly 50 years. Soon after, conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart began a sustained assault on Kennedy’s memory, tweeting “Rest in Chappaquiddick.”

Over the course of the next three hours, Breitbart unapologetically attacked Kennedy, calling him a “villain,” “a big ass motherf@#$er,” a “duplicitous bastard” and a “prick.” “I’ll shut my mouth for Carter. That’s just politics. Kennedy was a special pile of human excrement,” wrote Breitbart in one tweet.

What he did to Shirley Sherrod was criminal.

I didn't care what he said when he was a live.
Why should I care what he says now that he is gone.
and DU certainly does NOT need more that one thread to say,
"So what?"

Is DU going to care this much and waste this much bandwidth when Joe the Plumber's clock stops ticking?

The ONLY thing I want to know about Andrew Brietbart's death
is whether on not he was killed by one of President Obama's Drones.
If so, then I will have to re-evaluate my position on the President's use of Armed Assassination Drones,
and a president's Authority to target Americans without a warrant.
I may change my mind and start supporting the power of a Unitary Executive,
but only if he uses these extra-constitutional powers for sanitation and disease control.
I will still oppose their use as a military weapon.

You will know them by their WORKS,
not by their excuses.

Ted went up and Andy B. went down. There is so little good that can be said for Breitbart. While Kennedy was not always honorable in all that he did, the good he did far outweighs the bad. That can NOT be said for Breitbart.

I do feel sorry for Breitbart's children--that they were his children. What a negative atmosphere in which to live!

the loss of this idiot. He did more to cement the perception, in the minds of normal rational people, that the repug party is a hateful, bigoted party than Ann Coulter, Pat Robertson, Frothy Rick, or Rushbo combined have. And he managed to do it in just a relative few moments on the national stage. Guess it goes to show why the repugs are a party marching off into irrelevance.
