I mean when the Republican shut down the government the last time, that ended up being a major boon to Democratic Candidates. Possibly we are more gerrymandered than we were then, and there's more safe seats, but I still think it would have some effect, particularly in the Senate.

We have a Senate race in NJ in a few weeks (in the bag for Booker) but a Governor's race in November . . . with a special ballot vote for whether or not to raise the minimum wage. Christie already vetoed (through legislative process) that because he's an asshole of the highest order. But if it happens - I think we can leverage it in our canvassing and phone bank efforts here.
