Breaking: Md Governor O'Malley signs Gay Marriage Bill into law (about 500 PM today)

It is now law. It goes into effect next year. It is expected to get a right wing challenge and be put out to referendum at the next elections.

But the fact is, the law passed both houses and was, today, signed.

In a side note, Mrs. O'Malley was made to apologize a while back for calling legislators opposed to the bill for political reasons "cowards." I think Katie O'Malley is a FINE person and love her for this. You go!
