TALLAHASSEE, Fla.
Some state lawmakers said they want to ban convicted sex offenders from watching any type of pornography while on probation.
Senator Kelli Stargel of Lakeland filed the bill earlier this week.
Under current law, a sex offender can watch porn if it's not relevant to their sexual offense.
Civil liberties advocates said there's no evidence that banning the porn will stop sex offenders from reoffending.

Furthermore, what is the justification for this? Has it been proven through studies that porn correlates with reoffending? Is this just another do-nothing bill that pretends to keep us safer?
