The controversy snowballed as pundits and political figures fiercely condemned Limbaugh's incendiary comments, and one advertiser withdrew its commercials from the radio program. President Obama even called Fluke on Friday to offer his support.

However, the fall-out in the wake of his comments did not stop Limbaugh from making more attacks about Fluke on Friday. "She was not allowed to testify because it was not about women at Georgetown who have so much sex they can't afford birth control," he thundered.

He said that her speech at a press conference served to show that "she's having so much sex she can't pay for it, and we should."

Fluke had testified about the reproductive and broader medical reasons for birth control, and cited the cost. Limbaugh said she was having "$3000 worth of birth control pills worth of sex."

Also, I wish they'd not characterize Boehner's limp apology as "fiercely condemning". He didn't even say anything publicly. He couldn't have made a more inconsequential remark nor conveyed it in a more insulting manner.

Of course, Rush is a wealthy man, so he doesn't have to rely on insurance for aids to his sex life (he didn't need insurance to buy Oxycontin illegally, either). But he's on his fourth wife now and he has no children, so it appears that either he has never shtupped any of his wives (a distinct possibility), or somebody is using birth control.

I'd like to hear Ms. Fluke offer Rush the following deal:

"Mr. Limbaugh, here's my offer. You think I'm a slut because I want insurance to cover birth control pills like any other prescribed medication, including Viagra. So you think the quid pro quo should be that you get to watch me having my legally-mandated contraceptive-protected sex. Fine: I'll give you my sex tapes if you give me yours. You will be watching me not having sex, since I'm a law student and believe me, there's no time for any kind of social life. You can even post the tapes of me not having sex on Youtube.
