Staying home in 2010. Not DU'ers. Instead of editing my post I took it down.
But hey...you all needed someone to beat up tonight, so it might as well have been me.

(154,021 posts)The base (for both sides) showed up.
Btw, even though I showed up, I am an indie, so go ahead. I will once again show up in 2014' and vote, knowing it is fruitless. The system is rigged. I just like the exercise.

(45,319 posts)The actual answers are available and complex, some places had very great turnout and it might be wise to figure out how that happened while other places did not and it also might be wise to comprehend why that happened. In general it was the 'moderates' and 'independents' that failed to vote, but that's not close to accurate because all of that shit was localized, not national or regional.
So if you really care so much, go figure it all out, look at the numbers and such. Or just let it all go. There is no easy pie of blame to toss like some Keystone Kop of punditry.

(13,832 posts)But I'm so busy on election day driving folks to the polls(every oldtimer on DU knows I do that here in North Florida)....that I just assumed folks knew I cared.
I learned my lesson here...shut up and follow the bullies.

Give them hell in return, that's my motto.
Give it back to them even harder.
