2. We are not really going to know until we start using it.

It is still the same "Your Money, or Your Life" health insurance middlemen we are buying health insurance from. We all know how that has worked out so far. Health insurance is not health care.
Nothing short of Single Payer, like the rest of the civilized world has. Yeah, I know, assuming we are civilized compared to the rest of the civilized world is a stretch, but, one can still hope for change.

3. True. Hubby (an MD) and I (now retired hospital administrator) wanted, still want

single payer.

It is the only civilized thing to do.

But, hey, we have current proof--in the form of the tea party idiots--that at least 20%
of the people in this country aren't civilized. They're not partisans of the "we're all
in this together" but believers that it's every person for him/herself. That's pre-tribal
behavior.
