Don't Call It the 'Tea Party' -- Its Real Name Is 'Libertarian Billionaire Agenda'

The Tea Party's astroturf roots should have been obvious to anyone paying attention to their rallies.

To paraphrase Margaret Thatcher, there is no such thing as the Tea Party. There is only a collection of individual billionaires.

Back in 2009 and 2010, during the debate about Obamacare and during the mid-term elections that swept Republicans into power in the House of Representatives, Americans first caught a glimpse of a monster. That monster has now taken over the halls of Congress and shut down the government that George Washington had three horses shot out from under from him to create.

That monster was, of course, the Tea Party. At the time, many in the establishment media treated the Tea Party like what its proponents in the right-wing echo chamber said it was: a genuinely grassroots movement, like the one that created this country way back in the 1770s.

They pointed to the big crowds outside of the Capitol Building and on the Mall in Washington, D.C. and said, "the people are upset about President Obama's policies and now they're taking to the streets!"

Almost all political conflict, especially in the US, boils down to a fight between the Sane Billionaires and the Insane Billionaires. It generally follows this template:

INSANE BILLIONAIRES: Let's kill everyone and take their money!

SANE BILLIONAIRES: I like the way you think. I really do. But if we keep everyone alive, and working for us, we'll make even more money, in the long term.

INSANE BILLIONAIRES: You communist!!!

....because 99% of their so-called supporters are in no way shape or form part of the billionaire club, much less the milliionire club.

It's shocking how many of these individuals support the corporate mandates of which have nothing to do with them, much less their personal bottom line...

One day, as a 'thank you' for their support, they'll all be thrown under the bus, and that one day comes in the form of TPP.

How dare they besmirch the actual Tea Party.

They are just trolls who don't know how to govern.
Can only provide nonsensical spewings that fail when subjected to any form of logic.
When faced with logic resorts merely to repeating talking points over and over without actually knowing what it means.

They just gunk up the actual process.
