OK - I Know How Many Days, Hrs, Min & Sec This Shutdown Has Been But How Much Has It Cost Us....

since the Repugs took us down? This is what the cable news shows need to show us in their graphics. If they showed us taxpayers that info - the pressure on the Repugs would be so much that this shutdown would be over by now.

I believe it was estimated to be something like 12.5 million dollars per hour.

The guy across the street from us works for the EPA. He's furloughed. Three kids in parochial school.

If this rethug shutdown drags on, many folks in the DC area will be struggling to make their mortgage payments and put food on the table. Looks like it could be a very lean Xmas, too, if these furloughs continue.

Apparently it's currently $1.008 billion so far. That's based on the $12.5 million an hour figure worked out by IHS Global Insight.
