Did Chuck Todd learn something from Thomas Roberts yesterday?

Chuck had Marsha Blackburn (R, TN) on his show today and actually called her out for lying about the Senate Dems being unwilling to conference with the House re: the Senate budget proposal. I almost fell out of my chair! Later, he told the "gaggle" that she was talking in circles during the interview. I'm starting to think the End Times may be upon us. I'm giving serious thought to repenting before it's too late!

Telling him that, yeah, actually, it is his job to set the facts straight had some small effect.

All the negative feedback about what he said and all the positive feedback Thomas got for his interview with the rancid penis yesterday.

Would have been nice if he asked her why the GOP was WASTING 300 million dollars a day during this shutdown if theyre SO concerned about spending.

but Chuck is new at this and not very fast on his feet; also, Thomas Roberts can think rings around him. I'll give props for trying, but he still has a lot to learn. He certainly didn't appear comfortable doing it.

Must suck that a relative newcomer like Roberts is making him look so pathetic. He sure has come a long way since his 5am news slot. He's the best anchor on the network, imho.

I understand the costs. A worker doesn't get paid it cost that worker, but it doesn't cost the person paying that worker except in reputation. The three hundred million dollar costs appear to be born by the labor force and not the Government..

There are many costs involved in shutting down the gov't. In addition, we are losing millions in lost revenue.

She did seem surprised by his pushback, though, and was having trouble responding for a minute. At least he threw her off her game.

Anyone want to start a pool on how long it takes the redness to fade and him to revert to his old bad habits?

minutes ago. The Congressman, I forget who he was, was complaining that WWII Vets were locked out of the Memorial by the Park Rangers.

Thomas Roberts countered that the Vets were locked out of the Memorial like the general public had been locked out of their government.

Even for him.

I was SO impressed! If I were a Democratic debate coach, I'd take that video of him and rinsed penis and make it required class viewing. And we'd do mockups of it just to sharpen the skills in the class, and get them used to fighting this way.

Unfortunately, nobody's playing by the rule books anymore. So let's develop some new ones to meet the new conditions.

Amazing to hear about Todd-Blossom! He actually checked that bimbo blackburn for one of her many lies and distortions? Really?! Well how 'bout that! WAY overdue but maybe he's started noticing how viewers feel. OR maybe his bosses have.

and I probably wouldn't have believed it had I not seen it for myself, but he did push back, much to my suprise. It was nothing compared to Thomas Roberts, but Thomas is a pro at this and Chuckie is a novice.
