Tell Boehner: Dump the Tea Party

http://leftaction.com/action/tell-boehner-dump-tea-party

Since he became speaker, John Boehner has tried and tried again to appease the Tea Party wing of his Republican caucus. He has let this small but loud contingent drive the House agenda, hoping that in return they would come to their senses for the most critical items.

It hasn't worked. It has been a miserable failure. And now America is paying the price.
Send Boehner a message: Tell him to dump the Tea Party, and work with reasonable Republicans and Democrats to find common ground solutions.

We can try, but his head is too far up the teabaggers' collective asses.

House Republican Admits To Donors: GOP Had To Shut Down The Government To Please The Tea Party
http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2013/10/03/2727031/greg-walden-tea-party-shutdown/

Though he repeatedly joined with all of his Republican colleagues to force the government shutdown, in a candid moment last month Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR) complained that the Tea Party’s influence forced them to do it.

Walden, who chairs the National Republican Congressional Committee (the House GOP’s campaign arm), reportedly told a group of top Republican donors that the Tea Party’s organizational strength meant that Republicans had to shutdown the government and obstruct a debt-ceiling increase.

“Listen,” Walden told them, “We have to do this because of the Tea Party. If we don’t, these guys are going to get primaried and they are going to lose their primary.” .....

I have zero doubt that the Koch Brothers are driving this. They hand out the money from their faux-think tanks.. and are promising rewards to the assholes that are perpetuating this. I can't believe no one has mentioned this. Those idiots like Cruz and Boehner are not ideologically pure, they are greedy. This is a showdown between the Kochs and Obama. Plain and simple. There is absolutely no other way to explain how 49 extremists, with a TINY following, would destroy their careers.... follow the $$$$ You know, how many of these guys have a "non profit" or other pet project that gets funding from something related to the TP funders.
