Guys...isn't this *AWESOME*? I have never felt more connected and more unified by my party

each day that we stand unified, we grow EVEN STRONGER.

Earlier this week, I was waiting for the other foot to fall. I am starting to think that hell will freeze over before the President or any Democrat caves.

Something's *happening* here.

I hear it in his voice, I see it in his actions.
I really really like our President in case anyone wondered

Absolutely adore his wife and family
and Joe's the man I really really have a lot of respect for, just for being himself

in his interview with John Harwood. He didn't say he had made a mistake by trying over and over for bipartisanship, but he did say he'd tried it many times and it hadn't worked and he wasn't going to negotiate on this or the CR.

I am so angry about this shutdown I wake up in the middle of the night seething. I have an overwhelming urge to punch Republican House members in the throat, and I don't think of myself as a violent person.

we're united against the Republican nuts. I think the way President Obama handled Putin and Syria and is making headway with Iran is making the Republicans a little scared of him.

In fact, they've thrown all sorts of faux scandals at this administration and nothing has stuck. They thought that by now Obama would be so mired in their fake scandals he would be in a weak bargaining position. Haha! The joke's on them.

this is one of the final battles in a thirty year campaign to destroy the New Deal and the Democratic party...the elephant must be put down so hard he can never rise again...Its either us or them..we cannot continue with one instigated crisis after another and the richest few cannot be allowed to rule everything with the help of the dumbest few..

Under the Bush Administration, we all had a common adversary/butt monkey.

And then in 2008, we started to tear apart with the whole Team Obama/Team Hillary/Team Other stuff. After the primaries it subsided but it wasn't really the same.

And then we had a Democratic president elected, but that hardly helped. Because then we started sniping with the whole "He's selling us out"/"You're selling him out" stuff.

But yeah, it's nice to find some common ground with each other again. All we need is a good enemy.

...and with a new baby girl to take care of, the prospect of going without pay for any length of time is scarry. But not nearly as scarry as the prospect of caving to the filthy, underhanded tactics being employed by the lunatic fringe of the GOP. This fight is about much more now than just the ACA and the budget. This is about drawing a line in the sand of dirty politics. And it's a fight that will likely have consequences for years to come. I haven't always seen eye to eye with the President, but he has my full support in this!!

She's doing great, as is mom Thankfully we were in the process of saving money for a house, so we have something to fall back on. Many others are not nearly so lucky, unfortunately. I do hope this ends quick, for everybody's sake...

It is nice to see most people on our side agreeing about something, for a change. Apparently our opponents on the Right feel the same, however, being quite pleased that they are all united in opposition to the ACA. Or... at least that's what I've read. One would assume that they will cease to be united about that, now that the program has been rolled out.
