A modest proposal:

Since the RW wants this country shut down, well, then LET'S SHUT IT DOWN.

Let's call a general strike and close up America until they pass the budget and raise the debt ceiling. Hell, I'm not making a goddamned dime right now because of these fuckers, and neither will most of the rest of the country, come about a week from now.

Just imagine if all those teabaggers couldn't go out to eat, or get their dry cleaning done, or do any of the things they like to while away their idle hours doing (because we Little People enable them to do it). Take the cat to the vet? Nope, the vet's on strike. Buy a bouquet of roses for the wifey? Nope, the florist is closed up. Need that flu shot? Nope, your physician decided to stay home and work on home improvement projects.

They are trying to kill us. But WE are the ones with the power if we would just fucking USE it.

...some of us are in positions where we literally cannot strike. Heck, Reagan made it clear to those in my profession that strikes will not be tolerated 3 decades ago....

Definition
Expression for undergoing a voluntary financial strike or decrease in income. An individual might choose to do this in order to protest the amount of money going to the government, or to protest what they feel are unfair taxes (if they earn less, they will be taxed less, therefore hurting the government). The term is taken from a character in Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged"; the main character John Galt leads a movement where the wealthiest individuals leave their jobs for low-paying jobs in order to protest the socialist economy.

We're the little guys that make the world go 'round.

I'm all about depriving the RW of services they have become accustomed to receiving.

When a significant percentage of "Americans" figure that out...

I hope to see it in my life time.

I freed a thousand slaves I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.
