Holy Crap! Finally got thru on healthcare.gov! (turning into a play-by-play...heh)

Filling out the contact info now!

Couldn't verify my identity. The verification process uses Experian credit bureau and I have a freeze on my report with them (don't want any stray hard inquiries popping up)

The site design is quite nice...that clean, Windows 8, tile type look and feel that's becoming more prevalent these days.

Hope to be able to see plans and pricing soon!

1. As I'm going thru this, the process of applying is VERY tiresome!

There are so many data entry prompts that are just by themselves on a page. Then that page has to be posted, then the next one shows up. They could have designed this to greatly simplify the process. This is tedious as hell.

You'd think it would be smart enough to not ask me if a 7 year-old was paying alimony or student loans.

Finally to the point (a good 90 min later now) where I can verify my identity.

I'm sure this will fail as I have that freeze on my Experian credit report. Hopefully I'll be able to call in and do it.

failed to verify my identity so now I have to wait for documents to be uploaded and reviewed. At least I have my passport with me since I'm out of the country...that should do it!

except now I've lost a connection w/the server apparently and can't get back in.

oh well

going back thru the entire application, data entry prompt by data entry prompt.

I wasn't able to verify my identity and lost my connection w/the server. It's making go thru every single step instead of just jumping right back to where I left off.

It did remember most of the data input (addresses, names, etc.) but ugh....

not quite the full 3hrs...was talking to my wife for a while.

OH, and I did a temporary removal of the credit freeze on my Experian so maybe it will verify me...when I get back to that point!

for example, it would be jane.doe@company-name.com

says it's invalid (probably because there are two periods). *sigh*

flaky internet here at the hotel right now and thought I got dropped at one point (having to call via Skype) but got all verified!

The very helpful guy said it might take a bit before the application process can continue but that I am verified in the system.

think I'll try again in the morning...after midnight and I'm tired!
