Although it has been raining here in Philly on and off since yesterday afternoon, the dewpoints are high.

In Frederick, North-ish of DC. I bet my phone will be emergency alerting for flood watches soon.

It doesn't seem to go off for sever thunderstorm or tornado warnings, but every flash flood warning I get the warning shriek.

I'm in Central Maryland, about 15 miles NW of DC.
The air feels weird this morning.
I wonder if this is the last gasp of Tropical Storm Karen.

We need the rain, though not the tornados.

The builders have the flooring, trim and lighting yet to go before we can use that area of the house again. Luckily (and I do mean it - nobody was hurt, no 'stuff' was lost, no water damage, just structure damage from a 62' 9,000 lb tree falling, and it wasn't in an area where it required we move out of the house totally for it to be fixed).

Here's hoping those darned tornado's don't form at all.

Needless to say, when winds pick up or there are heavy storms in the area, my son and I get really nervous. He was in the room when the tree hit and there are still a ton of trees on our property. We had some stiff breezes blow through this morning and it sounded like there was an army of angry squirrels throwing acorns at our roof. Hope that's the most we get.

Stay safe everybody!!!
