Security and Medicare. That's why they want a special committee to consider budget issues in a private group. Because the Republicans do not want the seniors and baby boomers who are their major constituency to know that the Republican Party is the worst enemy of Social Security and Medicare upon which the largest part of its voters rely for their daily bread.
