I assume one of the servers is doing some form of backup, and the combination of name servers I use (from the UK) can't get me to one of the other servers.

for as long as a half hour, which is around the same time that it's out for you. I've noticed, however, that when I can get back on people have been posting during that time, so it doesn't affect everyone.

and then I tried the 'fix' that worked last time DU had a prolonged outage - a proxy server. It worked fine on the proxy server. Strange.
