Has a US backed government
increasing conflict by militants
has cities requiring reconstruction as a result of the devastation caused by the US war
has severe unemployment and too little pay for those who do work.
I wrote this OP after reading an article on ....Libya.
And realized how depressingly familiar the pattern is of invading and destabilizing countries in order to extract the wealth, whether it is oil, gas, minerals, etc.
So most of the answers are indeed correct, including, now, our own country.
A perfect example is this marvelous article on the Congo, which, if you changed its name, would fit all the countries the US has destabilized over the decades.

but indeed, it DOES fit the other countries you mentioned
which is really the point, isn't it?
The PATTERN of how to destabilize a country is the key.
