Even if Obama were to compromise they will demand he shut down what they don't like which will shut down most of the government any way. The only thing that would be left would be Homeland Security and DOD. They are on the record as wanting to end all agencies except those two institutions. Here is what would be abolished. EPA, DOL, NIH, Disease Control, NASA, Social Security, IRS, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Unemployment Insurance, VA (privatized), National Parks, Public Health, etc.

3. The GOP Wants To Cut Spending At Least 10% Across The Board And Give It To DOD Or The Rich

If we look at past proposals any money they supposedly save on cuts will be put right back into tax cuts for the rich or DOD. Such proposals were in their last budgets. Deficits and debt will not be reduced. That is why they are so vague.
