AT Some Point This Situation Is Going To Become A National Emergency And Security Threat

How do we pressure these people if they continue this charade. What would you do if your house was on fire and one of these fools was blocking the fire department. We are going to have a national crisis where the federal government has to act. Right now 70% of FEMA is gone and they want to abolish that as well.

Their intransigence is not just about politics it is about people's lives being trashed and possibly ended. Right now there is a salmonella outbreak and Disease Control is out of commission.

ADDENDUM - South Dakota has just had its own disaster with thousands of cattle killed by the "flash" mega blizzard with up to 5 feet of snow in 24 hours. Yet there is no FEMA to respond and I understand no farm bill. So relief will not come soon because the lost cattle will have to be burned and buried before disease can develop and spread.

Parts of the north central states just had mile wide tornadoes devastate some towns. There is no FEMA to respond.

In Colorado e. coli is contaminating the watershed in the flooded areas.

The effects of the shut down are spreading like a slowly developing disease that could explode at any time and become uncontrollable. So if these fools refuse to act how do we force the issue on them and force them to act unless we confront them personally. How do you force someone to come to their senses.

3. They don't want those things

FEMA is government handouts (unless of course the tornado occurs in their area), and the don't want the CDC telling them they need to vaccinate their kids when their minister tells them not to.

What we see down the pike is rampant poverty, the return of things like scarlet fever and whooping cough. And if we don't fix this, civil/class warfare. It will get ugly fast and I don't see anything that can work with this dipsticks.

5. I've been thinking the same thing

I'd like to see the President address the nation. But without notice ahead of time and without asking the networks to air his address. Just interrupt all channels (not just abc, cbs, nbc and the cable news programs but all channels) and radio waves using the exact same format that would be used if we were attacked.

"We interrupt this program to bring you an emergency announcement from the President f the United States of America."

Then we see the President in the Oval office.

"My fellow Americans I am speaking to you tonight because this country is in a state of emergency and I think you need to know exactly what is going on." And he goes on to explain the true facts as to why we are here and how if allowed to continue this crisis will destroy our country.

I say no notice for this speech and that it should be on every media outlet without asking. The rightwing noise machine will not be allowed blow him off nor will they have the chance to counter what he says. Everyone will see it without talking heads telling them what to think.

6. This is what happens when people elect people into government that don't believe in government.

I know a few repubs & I know one teabagger & there is absolutely no talking to the bagger, at all. The repubs will at least engage in discussion & let you make your points, even if they don't agree. The bagger? No way. As soon as you say something she disagrees with, she interrupts & you can't get a word in. They won't even listen to anything they disagree with. They are not rational.
