Graphical depiction of the past 17 government shutdowns.

Here's an interesting graphic from the WP describing the past 17 US government shutdowns. I searched and couldn't find that it had been posted before; if it has, well, then here it is again:

I thought info-graphics were meant to simplify things. The few people that don't know what's going on this time certainly won't understand it more from this.

I believe this is a disinfographic intended to tell us that this shutdown isn't a big deal.

I'm looking for good resources to explain the shutdown, and this isn't one of them.

Two people have said it was unclear, so I'll take your word for it, but it made perfect sense to me.

You can't see clearly how long the shutdowns were; the reason for each one isn't described, nor is the party that caused each one; there's a huge gap at the end that is left off for some reason. Much of this information could be put into a graphic like this one and it would be a lot better.
