If it was really a winning position, they'd be claiming credit for it. The fact that they are running away tells you that they know that it is a losing position. The only people who think they are winning in this is the Heritage Foundation and crazy nut-cases like Ted Cruz.

From the link in the OP:

"Koch believes that Obamacare will increase deficits, lead to an overall lowering of the standard of health care in America, and raise taxes," the letter said. "However, Koch has not taken a position on the legislative tactic of tying the continuing resolution to defunding Obamacare nor have we lobbied on legislative provisions defunding Obamacare."

That's a sign of a major backfire, and it all could be a lie.

I know the BS about the deficit is, as Steve Benen points out:

I have a hunch I know why Ryan ignores "Obamacare" in his preferred ransom note, and it's not because he forgot about it. Republicans are reluctant to admit it, but the Affordable Care Act vastly improves the nation's finances in the coming years, and repealing it would add hundreds of billions of dollars to the national debt. Ryan can't afford to destroy the health care law -- he uses it in his own plan to balance the budget over the next decade.

realizing that even their own constituents are approving ACA and the constituents are slowly, very slowly realizing that their masters have been in your face lying to them.

How Sweet It Is!

Prov. If you are paying for someone's services, you can dictate exactly what you want that person to do.

I don't listen to those paid to talk for conservative billionaire owned media. Commercial speech is not the same as 'freedom of speech.' JMHO.

they would be neck deep in water as the Titanic sank and still claim it to be an unsinkable ship and that they were winning against the iceberg!
