I called my 4 (R) house menbers - re - discharge petition

Three will not sign -

One Mike Coffman - will vote for a clean CR but will not commit to signing the petition.
People in Colorado call Mike - ask that he sign - 202-225-7882

What is going on in your state?

I did figure out this is likely about more recalls in Colorado.

I am talking about the 4 (R) members in Colorado.

Are your poking fun at me for being less than accurate?

I also missed the CR part of your post. I had just read something about more recalls in Colorado.

communications from someone not in a congresscritter's district are universally ignored unless they contain a check.

The discharge petition is a little used but occasionally handy way to get a bill out of committee when the House leadership is stalling. It rarely works and is time consuming (no way to get a CR bill out before the credit crash date) but it's a possibility if the shutdown looks like it's going past the date of no return.

People in Mike's district should call - he might be one of the swing votes.

T Bastard - Are you suggesting that it is a waste of time for people in Mike's district to give him a call about this issue?

D members of the US House of Representatives are talking about using a Discharge Petition to force a vote on the Senate's clear CR.

Sorry for the confusion - I thought everyone knew about this.
